As part of the city of Orlando this area is famous for its green spaces outdoors. There are 3-4 lakes in the area, within walking distance of downtown. Central Park
Located right downtown, this park is the crown jewel of Winter Park. The 11 acre park is full of fountains and rose gardens. Blue Jacket Park
This park is extremely close to downtown and combines sports, recreation, a bike/running path, stone structures, and a fountain across 75 amazing acres. The park is open from 6-11. The park can host weddings, fundraising events, birthday parties, and company picnics. In addition there is a Navy History Wall. You can rent the lighted baseball/softball fields using the phone number at this link. You can also rent the picnic pavilion at the same link for $75 per day.

Lake Lily Park
This 5 acre park is close to downtown, just a few minutes drive north. There is a lakeside boardwalk, .5 mile walking path, playground, gazebo, and a historic house museum. The park is open from 8 AM to sunset. All areas are free to use except the gazebo, which you need to contact the county for wedding rentals.

Harbor Park
Another lakeside park with grassy knoll areas, this park has sidewalks and boardwalks lined with benches. There are wonderful family style restaurants in the area, within walking distance to the park. All of the park is free to use, so come enjoy it.

Phelps Park
This local stronghold is a few blocks from a lake, big surprise. It has a playground, basketball and tennis courts, as well as picnic and pavilion facilities. This 6 acre park has rental facilities, you can find the information here.
